Anita Garza is an account executive at ECPR Texas working with clients that specialize in real estate, transportation, technology, nonprofit healthcare and workforce development.
In her current role, Garza leads the production of the community e-newsletter for St. David’s Healthcare, is a member of the Texas Health Action PR team that drives earned media efforts for the prevention of HIV in Texas, and plays an integral part in the Skillpoint Alliance team that helps members of the Austin community improve their lives through workforce development.
Garza has a passion for small and large-scale event planning, and before joining ECPR Texas, she was a member of the Austin film industry, specializing in event planning and marketing for nonprofit organizations such as the Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival and Austin Film Society. She also worked as an event production manager and social media content creator for several large conventions that featured celebrity talent from A&E, Discovery Channel and Travel Channel.
Garza is from Port Lavaca, Texas, and holds an Associate of Arts in radio-TV-film from Austin Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in communications from The University of Houston-Victoria.
